What an incredibly dumb thing to steal. Without tech support, what would it be worth? What potential buyer wouldn't know it was hot?

Chances are that the thieves didn't know what it is, they just stole what looks like a DSLR together with the cash.

Very bizarre, didn't someone also break into the RED HQ and steal the first RED as well a couple of years ago?

I'd like to know what the camera package was doing with a family on holiday in a hotel.

Nothing says "steal me" like a bunch of Pelican cases at a resort.

True, but only if you know what RED actually is...I doubt the thieves have any idea of what they put their hands on...
