Hello Everyone,

I am new one to "cinematography.com" This topic is to get some ideas about mixing 2 different digital formats to make a 2K release print. I am planning to shoot a movie in Redone(@4K_24f/s)and Canon 5D Mk II(1920X1080_24P). Can anyone help me to get some ideas on DI. Release will be 2.35:1(2K).
Major doubts are
1. 24f/s and 24P
2. aspect ratios
3. time code and confirmation

Thank You

This is an aside and fairly unrelated to Vinbin's question... but if one shoots a digital camera would't the DI process be better described as a "Digital Immediate"? Maybe they have such a forum on "reduser.net"?

Food for thought.

Vinbin... my only comment is that you'll have to do a reel based conform with hour zero timecode for all 5D footage. And if you haven't already I'd take a close look at the image quality coming off the 8-bit 5D sensor on a large screen before committing to this camera for a feature. Looks great on Vimeo but at full resolution (or especially a 2K blowup) it suffers greatly.
