Hi

I'm trying to find out how to work out the hyperfocal diastance on a tv broadcast zoom lens the particular lens im using is a Fijinon 10x4.8
However knowing how to do that should apply to and lens

The camera I'm using is a Sony 350wsp broadcast camera

I've tried a dof calculator but these seem only to work out the dof for 35mm cameras,

Also the fact that it's a zoom lens is confusing me , I underhand how hyperfocal works just not quite sure how to get it , any help appreciated :)

At what focal length do you want to know the focal length? What chip size does your camera have?

Try using this calculator, it lets you assign any sensor size, and even compare between settings and sensor sizes. http://toothwalker.o...tics/vwdof.html
