Just got the DVD's of "Lucky Lady" and "Royal Flash", both shot by Geoffrey Unsworth around the same period. I am halfway through "Royal Flash" but what's odd is that the opening scenes are classic Unsworth -- smoke, fog filters, even a net on the lens -- but by the time they get to the German locations, it's all pretty clean-looking, though it looks like a very light net may still be on the camera, but no smoke or fog filters... Did Unsworth not go to Germany? I see Paul Wilson listed as 2nd Unit DP, did he do those scenes? Or was Unsworth asked to pull back all the diffusion after the critical reaction to "Lucky Lady"?
