Is this all my film? 9 rolls of super8 on one reel?

Okay, this may sound strange, but I dropped off nine rolls of 500T Super8 to be developed and prepped for transfer. I was told that 9 rolls would need to be split to two reels. "Too much film for one" is what they said.

So today I picked up the film and it was on one reel. Just one. The guy seemed confused when I asked him why not on two. He really didn't know anything. Must have been new.

So the reel measures 7 inches and it is full. There is only about an 1/8 of an inch to the edge.

You film guys who know what you are doing, do you think all have all of my film back? I have my doubts. Pac-Lab has screwed up so many times that I am through with them. Won't get into it, but I'm done with them.

Hi Matt, if there's only an 1/8th of an inch to the edge, I'd say you definitely have all nine rolls on there !

Last time i went to Pac Lab, most of the people working there looks somber. I tried to joke around with them but they persist in throwing back taunting responses without any smile. Anyone know what's the next option to develop super 8 within NYC?

I've always thought that 7" reel for Super 8 meant about 400' of film which would be 8 rolls. Maybe they could have crammed the last 50' on there but I would be leary.
