Hello,

I'm new to this site. Just have a couple of questions about spec commercials that I haven't been able to find answers for.

I just shot my first spec commercial. It's running shoe commercial, and I actually work for the company in the marketing department. I might pitch it to them, but I just primarily want it for my reel. I have 2 questions regarding this project:

Is it OK to use the company's logo?

Is it OK to use non-licensed music?

I know that where the commercial will be shown is a bit part of the answer to that. I would be putting the commercial on my website, as well as posting it on Vimeo.

If anyone has any experience with this I'd really appreciate your input.

Thanks - John Ker

Legally, No and No.
The question is whether you'll get caught...
