[schoolboy] I look through the eye peice of the Arri 16 Bl

And all i see is the white exposure thing and nothing else. Anyone know what im doing wrong???

I don't have first hand experience of the 16BL, but I do know it has a mirror shutter - if that has stopped in the 'open' position then you won't be able to see anything through the viewfinder (light will be shining on the film gate and not diverted to the v'finder). Try turning the 'inching' knob to rotate the shutter to see if suddenly you get a view through the lens.

My apologies if you're already aware of this and it has nothing to do with your current problem.

Ian you are the don! And I'm a plum. Im so thick. Basically i used to have a cinema products cp-16 and it never had an inchin knob. Thanks so much. I owe u 2 milkshakes or beer or whatever!
