Hi All,

I am new to color correction in it's more sophisticated manifestations (I.E, D.I workflows and such).

How important it is for me to have a comprehensive understanding about various light bulb types and their respective color temperatures when handed footage for color correction work. Are you guys identifying and diagnosing what the particular light is ( i.e a 1000 watt tungsten or HMI) ? Or are you just looking at the overall luminance, chroma level and hue of each light source and not worrying where the light came from. I mean is the color the color and thats it or does the light source affect your approach to a shot? Sorry if this is confusing

Thanks,
Av
