Can anyone recommend a good cine meter? I don't feel like spending $800 dollars for a Sekonic 758C... So I was looking at these:

I've never been a fan of Gossen meters, but that's my personal taste. Same with the Spectra, though I do know people who swear by them.
This was the first digital meter I bought (a Minolta being my "first meter, but that was a gift)

Which is still used by a buddy of mine after I upgraded. It never let me down.

Also, you can't go wrong with a classic such as

which despite having a 758-C I still keep around because it doesn't need batteries! And it's good to have a backup for those moments were you feel "hmm.... something doesn't seem right."

I've had two of the Spectra meters and been very happy with them. Extremely easy to use and accurate.

Unfortunately there aren't many inexpensive cine meters worth having. But it is an investment worth making. Just take care of it once you have it.
