Is there any way to do it? Bleach? Copper napthenate?

Hi John,

I use a germicidal cleaner that I got from Zeiss years ago - "Fungusreiniger" says the label, but no mention of the specific agent or ingredients. You dilute it with ethanol, and leave it on the affected surface for an hour. It works very well - fresh fungus disappears without a trace. Of course if the fungus has been there a while it will have thoroughly etched into the coating, but the germicide will stop it spreading.

I'm not sure if Zeiss still sells it, but you could inquire.

Be careful with bleach. Start mild and work to strong. Try lens cleaner, Denatured alcohol, Lighter Fluid, Acetone. Is it on the inside? If so, time for a rebuild.

Fungusreiniger? Jeez, if you can find the T-shirt, I'll pay money. :D
