Ok so this is my first post and I am just a novice in the art form of cinematography, but i find it absolutely fascinating. I've always had a knack for seeing camera angles and the way a shot should look on the screen, although its just a passion I believe cinematographers don't get nearly enough credit for what they do in the movie/TV industry. But alas, it still fascinates me!
Anyways I wanted to know what you guys thought about that scene in "The Rules of Attraction" when Sean (James Van Der Beek) and Lauren (?) meet for the for 1st time while going to class. They way they have that split screen action going on and then as they run into each other the 2 frames morph into one as they approach one another and they finally meet as the 2 screen become 1. I think its just a brilliant shot!
