Hello,
Does anyone know of any place that can re-etch 35BL ground glass? I have one marked for standard 1.85 and would like to have it re-etched for Super35 "Big-TV"/1.85.

Give Shurco Tool a call. Here's a list of Ground Glass Formats (courtesy of Stratton Camera) . They make GGs for Panavision, Mitchell and Arri.

Call a few rental house and see if you can pay a camera tech to pencil it in. That would be the easiest, cheapest, fastest way.

Just a quick update as I am having ShurCo re-etch a GG for me right now. The catalog linked above is fairly old and didn't have a format I needed (Super TV/Super 1.78 Combo). I talked with Paul and he sent me the latest catalog which had this, as well as other updated formats I thought others might find useful: http://www.sampofilm...og_01-26-09.pdf
He quoted me $405 for the work (this is without the arri glow dye); it's another $275 if you need custom artwork created for the job. Turn around time is 1.5-2 weeks.

I'm not sure if they do but you could give them a call and ask. The last person I had do this was Bernie O'Doherty.
