Seasons Greetings All! :) Hope you are all enjoying your holidays!

I know a lot of you have probably been having a mixed time of things lately, so I send you all good wishes for the coming year of 2012! I suspect it's going to be a bit of a strange year what with one thing and another but I do hope that whatever happens in 2012, it takes you to where you need to be, even if it's not quite what you had in mind! ;)

So all my wishes for achieving many things in 2012! :)

love

I guess the flaming lips have put their film "Christmas on Mars" up on a free stream on the internet!

http://bcove.me/z3tsl8dx

I really encourage you all to watch it. It's very different to anything I have seen in a long time. Weird mash up of stuff, from b movies to 2001, to eraserhead to the cinema of transgression.

You should take the time to watch it, but you will kinda get out of it what you put into it in a way!
I think it's kinda special tho.

love

R,

It's 10AM boxing day here, about 25°C (77°F).
It's high tide, and I'm just about to take a stroll down to the beach for a swim, in the nice tepid, clean surf (with no risk of colliding with lumps of ice in it B)) As usual, lying on the warm sand in my swimming trunks, I'll be thinking of you all with your Anoraks, scarves and heavy boots...

I love that movie, bizarre and very cool. For my money, much more fun to watch then the hundredth time seeing It's a Wonderful Life.

I was in Sydney last week - staying in the city (ech) - planned to head out to Maroubra but we got work done a day early and I took the opportunity to get back to NZ before xmas...

Which beach are you talking about?

I've had a good stays at both Palm Beach and also the classic Bondi (and all those walkable beaches south of it)

Not in Sydney, I'm at Lake Cathie, just south of Port Macquarie (about 380km north of Sydney).
My wife's mother has a big holiday house there, about 300m from the beach, up on a hill where you catch the sea breezes.

Sorry, but it's unseasonably warm in this part of the states 45°Fahr./7°Cels.

For Christmas not a bit of snow (wish there were some, though I don't mind the unseasonable warmness). I hate to admit that I'm really liking global warming this year :-) & hey, Keith, howabout some distance conversions. What's a meter but a gauge to measure decimal inches and feet with? :P

Adrian: You're making poor Patrick Stewart regret ever taking that silly Sci Fi role! ;-)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for those of you non-Polocks.
