I just wondered......does anybody know who would have been responsible for preparing Cinemascope movies to full-frame flat printing at the lab, particularly with film prints ( not to tape ).

Would it be the movie's DoP, the editor or the labs technicians ?

Iam not sure this happens anymore , but when it did it was down to lab techs.

Lab Technician. There are still plenty of labs in the US that do blow ups and reductions.
