Hello,

I have some footage to edit. A clip is located Here. I was hoping people just had some general advice about levels and saturation. The clip looks ok, but a bit blown out especially in the windows and the lamp. I am pretty new to color correction and grading, I edit in final cut 7 and have color and after effects 5. Am hoping for some general advice.

Thanks!

Dan,

You didn't say what mood you were looking for. I did some contrast enhancement to improve the highlights. My technique for contrast enhancement is to duplicate the layer, multiply mode, then mask the layer with the green channel. Then I tweaked your clip with some curves adjustment to slightly lower the amount of yellow.

Sorry, I haven't figured out how to post an image on this site.
