Hello forum members!
In your knowledgeable opinions, what is the best way to keep the gate on a Canon 814 AZ Electronic clean and free of debris? I've heard various answers to this and I wanted your take on it. It seems more awkward to clean than some other camera models, as it loads from the back, not the side, making it more difficult to get a brush in there. Some recommend compressed air cans, others warn that using one could just blow undesirable bits into places you can never get them out of. I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this.

I'm a fan of soft wooden toothpicks. The soft wood is absorbent enough to pick up grease and bits of gunk, and it should not scratch the metal either. I recommend going around all four sides. Afterwards you can inspect the toothpick for discoloration caused by picking up gunk.
