Well, I suppose this is relevant to film processing.

This is what happens when you inadvertently load your shredding machine with nitrate film.

It's recently been suggested - given the old-style Kodak film cans visible among the smouldering wreckage - that among the stuff to be destroyed was some nitrate film stock.

We burnt a small amount of nitrite stock on which the images were almost gone. The result was an example of rather dramatic combustion.
