Sensor cleaning suggestions

I need to clean the sensor inside our Scarlet-X. The only thing I've used in the past is a Visible dust swab and cleaning solution but I wasn't happy with the results, it left a residue. Any tried and true methods and products out there? It's not just dust but some spots on the sensor cover that need to be cleaned off. Any advice would be great. Thank you!

I've used digipads for stills with great success.

They're inexpensive and easy to use if you have a steady nerve.
No good if you need them tomorrow, but you don't say where you are. I'm sure there's an equivalent available.
