I need a reliable way capture photo flashes while using an Alexa. Electronic flashes are to short to capture and single use flash bulbs which have a long burn rate are impractical.
Looking for a electronic flash with a long duration 30th of a second or so?
This is for a practical purpose. Not through electronically syncing the flash to the shutter or making it in post.
Any Ideas?

Look into the 8k Paparazzi Flash manufactured by Luminys Systems Corp (manufacturers of Softsun and Lightning Strikes lumnaries.} They are designed to simulate the barrage effect of paparazzi photographers, or for close-up tight shots where a controlled high-intensity flash is required. Single, quad, and eight-unit controllers are available. Light output is 8,000w Color temperature is 5600 Kelvin. Electrical power Connection is via 60Amp bates. The manufacturer's website is http://www.luminysco.../parabolic.html. On the East Coast they are available from Available Light in NYC (http://www.alny.net/...ts.php?g=3&id=2.)
