Can anyone recommend a source of supply for spare parts for the Moviola M-79 motorized viewer-synchronizer? I need the sheet metal housing for the motor (this is the same as that fitted to Moviola motorized synchronizer), toothed drive belt, and probably some internal parts for the viewer (if the sound of broken glass rattling around inside is any indication). Neither Christy's nor Editorial Equipment Parts Corporation has these parts.

Hi Glenn,

I'll check what I have at home tonight and I'll let you know.

Cheers,

Thanks, Jean-Louis. So far I've been unable to locate a supplier. The machine had been in virtually new condition until it was dropped by a USPS mail carrier.

Sorry Glenn, but I started looking for the machine and I just remembered I gave it away earlier this year. :(

Cheers,
Jean-Louis

Thanks for checking, Jean-Louis. I'm awaiting a return call from Moviola, having been told they had parts for old machines at least up to a few years ago.

Moviola doesn't have the parts for the M-79, although the employee with whom I spoke said he wished they did since they get calls regularly about them.
