Hi all,

I just need help understanding anamorphic s

How is it used when your shooting film, is it to squeeze more images onto the film and then unsqueeze later?

Also with digital is it used just to get 2:35.1 and anaphoric flares like in Super 8?

Also how does focal length appear is it double like a 20mm is actually a 40mm.

One last question I have read when they are stopped down they become soft.. is this true?

Thanks
