YouTube does seem a rather odd choice of site to block on the free wifi, under the circumstances.

Are you shooting something at Pinewood Phil?

Was thinking of popping out there last week but it seems like it might be only accessible by taxi or helicopter!
Do you know of a straightforward way to get there?

That's what I feared! Just thought Phil may have worked out a way to get there via public transport!

The sort of things I work on cannot afford to shoot at Pinewood!

As to getting there, there's a free shuttle bus between the studios and both Uxbridge and Slough stations for anyone who has a reasonable excuse for using it. Timetable here.

That's why I was wondering?

I was invited to this F5/F55 thing that happened there last week and was very up for going but it was just a thing at a rental house and I was led to believe that I could only get the shuttle bus if I had a special work pass, is that not the case?

In any case the rental house running the event never got back to me to confirm I was on their list, so I had to write it all off. A shame as I was really interested.

I walked on board. The driver said "Do you have a pass?" I said "Pass?" he said "Whatever."

Heh heh! Maybe I should have tried that! :)
I'm not sure why they are so fussy about people having a pass anyway,
I mean if they are apparently so concerned about the environment like they claim and everything!

Anyway. heres a new question. It's coming around to that time of year when the Bsc Expo thing happens, and
what the hey, I have a Bsc, so I'd like to go. ;) What's the easiest way to get to Elstree for the show?
It's got to be easier than the Pinewood thing right?

Sounds like a plan! Anybody else up for visiting the studio where "the Shining" was shot?

I was under the impression that it was planned, but then I realised that last year's website is still up.

Welcome to the 1970s, BSC!

Ah! I was wondering why the register link wasn't working!

I want to go to this but it's kind of getting to the point now where I need to make plans, (assuming it's going to be in early Feb).
I mean it's less than 2 months away.

If anyone hears news on this then please let me know!
