Hi everyone! This is Pedro, I have just arrived here. Excuse me if I do something wrong but I would like you to help me somehow.

I just bought today a Sankyo Macro-focus MF 404 camera in a flea market for 5€. I don't know if it may sound unusual... Appart of my skills for haggling, the one who sold me the camera has no idea of cameras etc.

Well, I would like to have some information of this camera. I don't know anything about Super 8 and I would like to know about the cartridge and everything you can tell me... Is it a good camera? How do  I know if it works?

Lots of thanks!! Hope I'm not disturbing and sorry for my possible english grammar mistakes!

It's a pretty good camera.

First, put batteries in and see that it powers up. Make sure the motor spins (you'll hear it if it does.)

The best way to see if it works is to run a test film through it.

It'll auto meter for 25D/40T or 100D/160T. Get a roll of Tri-X or something similar and run it through. Get it developed. Make sure the film isn't jamming.
