This is a long shot, but is there anyone who can convert digital footage to Super 16mm?

Yes, I said Super 16, not regular.

You're looking for digital film output. By FAR the least expensive route I've seen could be found here:

Keep in mind that what you're asking for would require a special projector with a widened gate. What might be more practical is an anamorphic print so you can project on any 16mm projector with an anamorphic lens. Even more practical might be a 16mm print with bars on top and bottom so it would project on any 16mm projector without an anamorphic lens.

You can also print a soundtrack at the same time if you stay out of Super 16. Remember Super 16mm is a capture only format; not for projection.

Thanks!

Yeah, I know about S16mm being capture-only format. I was planning to have it on negative for later editing.

This company in Rockville MD claims to have a custom machine to transfer to 16mm negative.

Ten years ago there were Celcos that could record to 16mm but I suspect that most.companies have gotten rid of them.

Another possibility is Trick Wilk GmbH in Berlin, Germany: http://www.trickwilk...LK.de/HOME.html

Here is another, not sure about s16, although they do a sound transfer so in theory it may work.
