Between both the 18-80/45-250 (Fuji) and the 17-80/24-290 (Angenieux) as well as the 15.5-45/30-80 (Fuji) and 15-40/27-76 (Angenieux) which perform better?

They are all modern zooms with excellent performance. Any differences in their sharpness are unlikely to be noticeable.

They would be pretty close, the Aluras are not as crisp as the Fujinon Premier zooms but they may still have a more contrasty look compared to the Angenieux's, and more contrast can give the impression of more sharpness, but they shouldn't be too different.  I haven't used the Aluras yet myself.  You can go to a rental house and put both up on a lens projection bench and judge for yourself.

Does anyone know how the Aluras would perform on a RED, when they have to resolve 4 or 5 thousand lines?
