Hi all,

I have plan to study for MFA in cinematography in New York, can I get advice witch school do I need to check. I'm 26 years old, and live in Indonesia, the only film school that I know is NYFA, but is very expensive. and 19.000USD per semester is worth ?

best regards,

David

Unfortunately university education is expensive in the U.S. in general, except for some state universities for state residents.  I don't know what sorts of grants and scholarships are open to foreign students, but you should look into that.

Both NYU and Columbia have fairly renown film schools. I'd pay that much (if I had that much) for one of them, but probably not for NYFA.

Colleges in the USA are very expensive, especially for foreign students.

NYU is actually $30,000 a semester give or take a few hundred (not counting living expenses):

Columbia doesn't fare much better.

Ouch! I knew there was a reason I wasn't in grad school.
