Adox have re-engineered the defunkt CHS100. It's called CHS100 II. Now look down at the list of formats on this page:

Could that be correct?

The earlier version was available in Super-8. And currently is sold out at some places.

Just let us be glad they think it is workable to produce Super-8 versions.

Hi,

fact is that the old CHS100 was produced by Fotokemika in Samobor (Croatia) - see http://www.adox.de/e...Art/Series.html . However ADOX' only Super8-film (ADOX PAN-X Reverso Super8) is rumoured to contain film-stock that was produced by Agfa-Gevaert in Moertsel (Belgium) or by Agfa-Gevaert/Agfaphoto in Leverkusen (Germany)*. So when the rumours are correct, then neither the old CHS100, nor the current CHS100-II are related to the PAN-X.

Jörg

* = Leverkusen would mean that the film was produced before 2004/2005

BTW: I never heard of any plans of releasing the CHS100-II as Super8, even though it's mentioned on ADOX' webpage?!

Jörg, Pan-X is a reversal stock and has been out for well  over a year, so I've never thought them related, either.

The new CHS100 II can be used as reversal stock as well as it's on a clear base.

A test batch of CHS100-II in Super 8 is planned for November. It will be polyester-based (Yeah! Love that!). If it runs well (which I bet it will) and it will be accepted by the market, more might come. The price will be a bit higher than the current Adox Pan Reverso Stock (which BTW does NOT come from Mortsel).
