Hello, I'm new to this forum so hello to everybody! I've been looking for a shot that I want to use in my short film but can't find it. I saw this shot in the tv show Suits. So the shot is a scene in a diner where one of the character is sitting in a booth in present time, and the camera moves over to the bar where the scene has changed to the same character but 10 years prior to the previous one. I wanted to know how they made a clean shot like that without any cuts (or seemingly without) of the same character from one spot of the set to the other. Did they just have the character move behind the camera? If this is what they did to achieve this effect, I'll have to think of something else because I would like to do the same but the problem is, both the scenes I want to shoot take place in different places. Thanks!

Welcome, Jonathan.

You'll need to provide a link to the Suits shot in question or a more visually descriptive explanation of the shot you're hoping to execute. Storyboards?

I can't find the clip but the best I could do was get the episode and after about an hour searching I found the scene. http;//sharerepo.com/2co1paqverbz   just click free download and load the episode, it starts at 36:44 and ends at 36:55.
