I am currently a senior at the University of New Mexico. I've enrolled in a Red Camera class and want to learn the most I can about the technology let alone the professional workflow of the industry.  Ultimately I am excited to see this first-hand, but more concerning is finding a job when I get out.

Any suggestions as to where a college graduate might start looking for related work or what sectors of film are willing to give apprenticeships/entry level jobs to young adults interested in becoming apart of a film community?

Well new Mexico has a lot of work, from what I'm told, so try to get in as a PA and begin to work your way up. I know quite a few people out in ABQ who work a great deal-- so there is work to be found; though how I do not know (at least not for that market). The problem with ABQ is that there is very little of a "in house" market-- it seems. It's not like NY or LA where young directors go to "start out," though I don't know why.
