If you wanted to, would you be able to change the iris, and number of blades on any given lens? Why I'am asking is because of the Cooke lenses that have the famous star-shaped bokeh when stopped down. How cool would if be to have like a set of s4 with 18 blade irises :)

I know it has been asked before, but has this ever been done? does anybody in the world own a custom-iris set of anything? has it been used for any movies?

It can be done, but it would have to be a custom job, and be hugely expensive.
