I see makeup artists doing their work under tungsten lighting for talent that is going to be photographed in daylight balanced light. What is the industry standard practice?

They tend to ask for a lamp and you give 'em a lamp. For myself, I always try to give them a color temp appropriate lamp, but that is just me. Most trailers are all tungsten balanced, of course- and tungsten does make talent look better-- but I personally always try to get 'em something that'll match. Even if that's a 300 with CTB on it.
