Hi everyone,

Can anyone possibly recommend any films and scenes shot using available light at dawn? Perfect case would ideally cover pre-dawn through dawn transition but any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Keith

Hard to tell if a scene was actually shot at dawn, I believe "The Deer Hunter" may have a couple, and the opening of "Donnie Darko" looks like it was.

Rocky's first run in the wee hours of the morning:

Crappy upload, but it was the only one I could find of this scene.

Also you should check out Days of Heaven:

A big portion was shot at dusk. Like the Rocky scene, they didn't bother balancing for daylight when it got dark because they needed all the film speed possible.
