It started with  Taika Waititi making a sweet little short called Two Cars, One Night.  Then he made the well liked Boy,  which I think is a sort of over obvious next step,  like  giving cultural style notes that are in a way obvious from the Two Cars short.

 

The NZ  TVC creatives/makers in total seeming a derivative,  eclectic lot then later come up with these two TVCs  (Legend and Blazed).

 

Having just harangued them,  I have have to say the TVCs are just adorable,  at least to Kiwis.  I wonder if you need familiarity with local culture and nuance of language (English) to really enjoy this.  Is it a delight?  Or is it too locally referenced.
