where to have a lens repaired?

Hello...

 

A friend of mine had a simple cine lens from around 1930 rebuilt.  The vendor he chose removed the lenses and then stripped them of the coating and re coated them.  Then he rebuilt the lens it self.  It was also stuck and could not move the F stop.  He fixed that.

 

I have several lenses from the 1930s or so that are frozen and has gunk growing inside the lens.  I am looking for a company or a person who can rebuild lenses.  I do not need them to look "restored" I just need them to work.

 

Can anyone here refer me to a person or a company I can contact?

Try Matthew at Duclos Lenses. If you need the coatings done as well, try Focal Point

 

It's unlikely to be cheap.
