Hey guys, I've got a low budget(of course) music video coming up.  We are shooting a performance of the band in late afternoon, not golden hour.

So far I've got 2 6x frames with an ultrabounce, silk, and solid, and 2 shiny boards ordered.  Is there anything else you would suggest I get in order to be able to work with just the daylight and make them look good?

I'd do 12x frames, but we only have 2 grips so I don't know that we have the man power/time for that.

Thanks

I find two grips are generally enough to wrangle a 12x12 outdoors, the larger bounce source could certainly be handy.

That said, two 6x6 side by side still gives you 12x6 in total, which should be enough (in my experience) to get some fill on talent backlit by a setting sun.

I agree with Mark. The two 6x6 frames should suffice. If feasible, I would get smaller flags, silks, etc... for additional controlling once the frames are up.
