Cine-Ranger Now available for Preoder - Delivery October 2014

 

The Cine-Ranger is a laser based focus tool, to accurately measure the distance from the camera to the subject.  The Cine-Ranger uses brief pulses of invisible infrared laser light to measure the distance to the subject, quickly and accurately over long distances.  It is designed to take the place of both the Cinetape, and the Sniper, but at an affordable cost.  It features built in wireless, so the remote display can be used either wired or wireless, without having to buy any additional accessories.  The Cine-Ranger also interfaces with the Preston, to display distance readings on the HU3.

 

Features

-Laser distance measurement from 1' - 120' with accuracy better than 1/2" (.1-36m, 1cm accuracy)

-Adjustable offset, allows you to adjust the distance in reference to the film plane.

-Built in wireless, wireless transmission to 1 or more remote displays

-Voltage input from 6-36v, reverse polarity protected.

-Preston MDR interface built in.

-Lightweight aluminum housing.  Head unit weighs less than 9oz.

-Head Dimensions H 1.55" (4cm) L 4.36" (11.75cm) W 3.36" (8.5cm)

The Cine-Ranger is nearing completion, the head and remote units are ready, a couple of accessories are being finished up.  The Preorder for the Cine-Ranger will end October 31st, so there is only one week left to take advantage of the Preorder pricing.  Full production on the Cine-Ranger begins next week, and units will be readily available.

How does it perform in daylight? And the Arri power cable, is it 24v 3pin or 12v 2pin?
