Just saw these Film4 ads produced by ManvsMachine: http://nofilmschool....m4-station-ids#.

Wonderful work! I'm definitely missing a bunch of the references, so far I've got:

Hotel Corridor - The Shining, Barton Fink
Motel Room - The Conformist, Psycho?
Staircase - ?
Gas Station - ET, Paris, Texas?
Woods - Moonrise Kingdom, ?

Anyone else got anything?

Not sure on the woods, but I do like this sort of thing quite a lot. Some rather more abstract work was done for BBC2 in the 90s and in my view has still never been topped. These were revived recently for a 50th anniversary event and I suspect many of them were just rescanned for widescreen and HD.
