I was watching an auction for 10x100ft rolls of five year old 50D stock, and they ended up going for $340 dollar plus 13 SH? Am I wrong to assume who ever won it got taken for a ride? I'm pretty sure one could have bought that many rolls brand new from Kodak, even without a student discount. And these guys are getting stuff that may not be any good, depending on how well the guy stored his film.

No. 10 rolls new would probably be around $1000 or something, so it is cheaper. I do however agree that it wasn't cheap enough - I wouldn't have paid that amount for it.

100ft rolls are about $36 from Kodak.. so they saved about $20.

Sorry, I misread the post. Thought it was 400ft rolls, not 100ft.

Ironically, they might have qualified for a discount from Kodak:
