"And your explanation as to how "Canada gets in the way" of the USA?

OK - If you want to continue THAT thought, perhaps it will fit in the 'Business Practices / Unions' forum. Tim Tyler."

Thanks Tim, here it is moved as requested.

Sorry about my post about Canada getting in the way. I honestly didn't mean anything by it. I meant it more as a reference to maybe a cross-town school rivalry. I was hoping my comment would be taken as a friendly jab. Either way, I was more meaning towards the "manifest destiny" of the US back during the [formal] expansion years.
I didn't mean to offend, and I have quite a few Canadian friends. There's great fishing in Canada and I enjoy Kids in the Hall.

Oh you didn't offend any one, least of all me. :D

I saw your smiley on the post.

Another forumite picked up the ball and ran with it, implying that I was some how in the dark.

So I was simply asking him to give me some facts, but then Tim wanted this moved over here.

PS: The USA had it's chance to take us over in the War Of 1812 but it didn't work out. A fact many Canadians actually regret.

Strangely enough, no Americans regret it. :D

Well actually Landon....there are Canadians who would take offense to that.

What data do you base that on?

There are millions of people in the USA living in poverty, are you aware of that?

There are 50 million Americans with no health insurance, are you aware of that?

There are lot's of good analogies to describe what Canadians are and are not, but being the same as Americans only poorer isn't one of them.

I have a question for Tim Tyler.

What is the point of this thread and why is a website about cinematography providing a platform for posts that are about trashing 35 million people on the basis of their nationality?

I also have a comment to make to Mr. Parks:

You can be assured that I never take offense at people who are determined to demonstrate their ignorance in public.

Really, what is the point of this?

It's a thread from a different "department" moved over here.

There's no point to it really, none at all.
