I have a LUT in .cube files I bought and don't know how to use it with fcp7/color 1.5. How do I install the new LUT onto FCP7/Color 1.5?

For FCP7 there is LUT Buddy, still free from Red Giant.  LUT Buddy doesn't like all formats.  I have had success with it for 17^3 and 31^3 LUTs in .mga format.  You must find out how it does with your LUTs.  Since all LUTs are text files you can transform one format to another in, say, Excel if you know what you're doing.  If you really know what you're doing, you can construct your own LUTs.

How do I import LUTs (.cube files) into DaVinci Resolve and will I be able to edit their values in there?

Resolve is a big black box, literally.  It does a lot, with convenience; it's not do-it-yourself.

LUTs are text files with simple formats.  I make them in Excel.

Even 1D LUTs are rather large, and not suited for value-by-value editing.  3D LUTs are huge.  Excel is the perfect editor.
