Hi guys,

I'm looking for some super cheap glass. Something in the 35 to 50mm range.
I see some stuff on eBay from the Ukraine for pretty cheap, but it's 80 or 135mm.

Anyone have thoughts on some cheap glass sources?

I realize it's going to be rough glass, but that's ok for what I need it for.

Thanks!

one of the cheapest ways is to buy a T-mount to PL adapter and one of those ugly low-end T-mount primes from the 60's. I have seen at least 35mm and 50mm and sometimes 28 on eBay and tele lenses have more options to choose from

some m42 lenses with small body diameter can also be adapted to PL with screw-on adapters. For example 50mm Industars are small enough to fit inside the adapter

There is quite a lot of PL-adapted medium format Pentacon 6 lenses available mostly from Ukrainian ebay sellers. You can buy an bayonet-lock PL adapter (P6-->PL) and use it as an intermediate mount for the P6 lens set. These lenses are not very fast if you are using something in the 35-50mm range and may also have low contrast

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll check out these things and see what I can find.

if you consider Pentacon Six route I recommend this adapter, the manufacturing quality is very high and it's not overly expensive:

What about Lomos in OCT-18 with a PL mount adapter?

Or these Helios 58mm f2
