I just recently purchased this Bolex H16 EBM Electric camera and am still new to this all, so I would like to apologize if I sound incredibly naive. The internal spools, once fitted with the battery at the base of the camera, will not move when the electric motor is turned on. The hank crank for the camera works perfectly fine and allows the internal mechanisms of the camera to work.

Perhaps there is a simple anwser to this that I am completely oblivious to or there is something seriously wrong with the camera itself.

I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give. Thank you in advance.

Paul,

Are you using the hand grip power supply?  If so, are you certain the battery doesn't need to be re-celled?

I have had my EBM for many years and have had to troubleshoot power supplies more than once.

You know thats a double press switch one starts it the next press stops it. The brightness of the red light on the back is indicative of the level of charge of the battery. The EBM does not do well with a low charge so if the battery is too old it may read the correct voltage but the amps are so low it will not operate. I have seen batteries recently for 150. I have two ebms one with a new battery one with an old battery so I have been shopping
