Hello Everyone,

Today i have a very important question and I would love to get some help from the cinematogrphy community.

Im in a perdicument , I want to buy an Arri Alexa Classic but i was considering an Arri Amira also. I haven't decided yet, but i would like to get a couple of opinions to make it easier. Keep in mind that budget is not a problem. Im just torn in between the fact that the Amira is up-to date technology while the Alexa is a little older. please help.

ps. how important are camera hours when talking Arri Alexa?

The Amira is more a documentary camera, it may depend on what you want to shoot.

The Amira also has that UHD mode so that you can shoot UHD ProRes and make the most of the sensor.

It uses CFast 2.0 cards however instead of SxS.

I personally would err more towards and Amira, since I think it a slightly more versatile camera to own.
