Hello all ...

Here is a quick question...Is there any adaptor to mount in Schneider optic lens(aps-c) in order to shoot with Canon 5D mkII or III ??

Thank you all.

If the lens was designed for APS-C it may not cover FF.

Otherwise it depends on the original mount.

Which Schneider lenses in particular? The Xenon FF primes have full frame (24x36mm) coverage and can be had with EF mounts direct from the factory. If you are renting then it's likely that there are EF mount sets available. You would have to check that they are safe to use on a 5D, I think they were designed to be used on mirror-less EF mount cameras like Red Epic, C300, etc.

The Cine-Xenars from what I understand are PL mount only and Super 35 (18x24mm) coverage. Also much bigger and heavier. If you plan on using an EF to PL adapter, then you'll need to add lens support. I've seen a few adapters on eBay, you'll want to be very careful using those as the back of the lens may hit the mirror shutter on a 5D, causing thousands of dollars in damage to your lens.
