Hi everyone,

I can get a Canon 8-64 (for my bmpcc) in Arri Bayonet Mount. I've read that there is two versions of the lens, i suppose that this one is the MK1 version (because of the older Arri B mount).

So i wonder :

-Anyone know if the PL mount MK2 version is optically better ? (i've read perhaps better in term of flare)

-Are the two versions separate by a huge amount of years or they were lauched in the same period?

Thank's in advance, it's hard to find informations on the two versions.

My understanding is that all canon 8-64 lenses are the same. Except they changed their colour from black finish to dark grey finish...and there was no change mechanically or optically.

p.s. mine is grey finish and has a B mount with a PL permanent adapter fitted to it....this was collimated at Arri.

The early versions had the footage scale too close together, the later version solved this.
