Hello!

Sorry for this dumb question, but what is a book light and when and why do you use it? I often read about it in this forums, but I have no idea how it looks and works.

That example is a little confusing, as the lamp is incorrectly placed, and they have multiple layers of diffusion on the frame. Simply put, a book light is a lamp bounced off a frame or beadboard and then put through another frame of diffusion. The two frames meet on one edge, resembling a book.

Janusz Kaminiski's "7 Minute Drill" is a 12x12 frame of Ultrabounce and a 12x12 frame of 1/2 soft frost, usually with something like a 12 light maxi brute as the source.
