I'm new to the F3...I'm using one with a samurai blade ' hdsdi version and a SmallHD dp4 as an external monitor on HDMI. The F3 has the free upgrade to S log 422.

My question is can I record on s log to the blade and view using a lut on thr dp4 at the same time?

If so, can anyone describe the settings.

Unless the Blade or the DP4 have LUT capabilities (which I don't think they do), I'm afraid you're out of luck. The free SLOG upgrades functions as a 'picture profile' so the only image the camera is generating is the log image.

There's no way to output the SLOG picture profile from the A & B ports while outputting a different picture profile from another port.

The newer monitors/recorders like the Pix-E5, the SmallHD 502 and the Odyssey 7Q do however offer LUT capabilities and will be able to record the log signal whilst displaying a LUTted image.

if you have the 4444 upgrade there is a function to view a more normal picture while recording SLOG like the canon c300 has. but if your using pitcture profiles to get slog I dont think you have access to that.
