Hi , I am reading AC sept 2015, the note of Mr Libatique "street Knowledge", where he used Anamorphic and spherical lenses, and he says this : ..." we'd switch to spherical lenses  if necessary, beacause the spread of a wide spherical lens is totally different than the spread of a wide anamorfic" What does he mean?

I think he said that he used the spherical lenses to get wider-angles especially in small spaces where he had to focus closely.
