Ok, we got a mini dv tape of super 16 footage.... dumped it into premiere and there is a jagged edge on straight lines as the camera pans....almost a screen door trail behind moving edges. what could cause this?

We had to unsqueeze the footage in premier...could that be the culprit?

Or is this some kind of pulldown issue?

Anyone ever heard of something like this happening?

Hi,

Yes, very likely; Premiere (with an "E" on the end, it's French!) makes a horrible job of that kind of thing. Get Virtualdub, which will do very high quality field-based resizing.
