Hello,

Can someone explain exactly what happens when a bolex mag is "converted" to super? The rollers are just polished? This sounds like a simple procedure... is it?

I'm trying to decide whether I should get mags and have them converted or try to find a mag that is already ready for super.

As usual, any help appreciated. Thanks!

Damn I posted in the wrong area again! Can I make this post migrate to super 16mm only?

Also, if the modification is only polishing the rollers, after it is done can the mags sill be used for R 16?

Thanks!

I can't tell you what exactly the conversation entails but i do know they will work for single and double perf film. The mags have no registration pins or cogs.

Hope this is of some use.
